Job Summary: 

About the Current Position Available

As mentioned above, all Dolphins are well-rounded individuals and the next person we welcome aboard will be no exception. Because of our customer-centred philosophy, we all need to communicate well, be professional yet personable and have a strong, long-term commitment to delivering the best service in the industry.

The successful candidate’s primary duties will include:

  • Delivery of exceptional technology service to our clients, provided through remote access and via the phone, as well as onsite service and service in a shop setting, while communicating the results to our customers
  • Primarily these services will include technical support and/or new implementations.

Primary qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of related experience
  • Experience delivering IT projects, specifically for small businesses
  • Active Directory Certification or equivalent knowledge/experience applicable to small business networks
  • Microsoft Exchange Certification or equivalent knowledge/experience applicable to small business networks
  • Strong hardware knowledge and experience with comfort ability building/imaging/reinstalling Windows and backing up/restoring user profiles, data and applications.
  • Strong foundation with hardware, software and networking/connectivity
  • Passionate technology and related confidence
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Professional presentation
  • Excellent interpersonal skills/ relationship building skills
  • Ability to learn and improve
  • Ability to identify and sell recommendations
  • An entrepreneurial sense
  • Excellent keyboarding skills

Other Desired Skills/Background:

  • Experience working with small business customers
  • MS SQL Knowledge
  • VMWare experience
  • CCNA certification
  • Sharepoint
  • Other Windows, Cisco, or technology diplomas and certifications are always a plus

More important than specific skills is the candidate’s attitude toward people, technology and Smart Dolphins. A strong technical foundation with a corresponding confident and driven approach to learning, serving clients and being entrepreneurial is more important than someone who has past education or experience with a particular technology.

Ultimately, we are looking for a team player - someone who will mesh well with the people that are already part of the team, someone with the talents for the roles that need to be filled and someone who really wants to become a part of the Pod.
