Your Role:

JEA is looking for a highly motivated, career‑minded, mid‑level Oracle Forms Developer to join our growing development team. You will be responsible for providing hands-on forms development to build, configure, and maintain, specific system components. You will also have experience in developing solutions using Web Services. At least 4+ years of experience of Oracle PL/SQL and SQL is required and knowledge of ADF/JAVA is desirable. In addition to your strong technical background, the successful candidate will exhibit strong interpersonal, time management, organizational, verbal, and written, communication skills.

Key Focus Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Lead Developer of the assigned tasks, the Oracle Forms Developer is required to:

  • Work collaboratively with team members and clients to build innovative, cost effective application solutions.
  • Fulfill tasks, activities, and duties using agile and waterfall implementation methodologies.
  • Provide input and communications in support of weekly status reporting, team meetings, and other updates as required.
  • Update required implementation lifecycle documentation.

Work Experience:

  • Proficiency in Oracle (client/server and multi-tier), SQL, PL SQL, C/C++, Windows NT/2000/XP, LINUX, UNIX, Oracle Forms, J2EE environment, and XML.
  • Experience drafting technical documentation including system requirements, configuration management plans, and technical specifications.


Bachelor’s Degree is preferred but will take 7 years’ experience in lieu of degree. Preferred in business, computer science, information systems, or economics.


You will be based at the Vancouver Island Technology Park, Victoria, BC, V8Z 7X8. Travel to client sites is not anticipated at this time.

Security Status:

The candidate will ideally have, or have recently had, CIISD Reliability status security clearance.
