Job Summary: 

We have a great opportunity for a highly skilled and intuitive person to work with us in a Technical Services Support role.  We are searching for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary team environment and enjoys supporting the continued design and customer use of our leading edge environmental monitoring systems. 

The right candidate will be a key part of an integrated team working with our operations and engineering departments to provide optimized solutions for our customers. You will provide technical support for internal processes, and act as the interface between customer needs and engineering project scope.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide ongoing technical service support as the primary resource for customers requiring assistance, by answering phone or email queries in an efficient and timely manner
  • Maintain database records for customer information and follow up reporting requirements
  • Be a key system integration and application resource for technical support and customer service
  • Develop solutions to technical problems with both FTS and customer-supplied equipment
  • Provide both hardware and software technical support and training to FTS customers and employees
  • Provide site-specific product configurations to meet customer-monitoring requirements
  • Develop technical support improvement programs in consultation with internal departments
  • Create application notes for internal and external distribution

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Electronics Technologist qualification or equivalent with experience in electronic system integration and sensor application work
  • Experience in a related non-consumer industry: sensor installation, configuration, field calibrations and troubleshooting
  • Experience providing excellent customer service, with a proven track record, ideally in a technology company
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills with an ability to analyze options to provide the best solution
  • Ability to manage multiple projects
  • Experience working with Commercial ERP Systems
  • Self-motivated - must be able to work independently with little or no supervision/instruction
  • Display a professional and customer focused approach to technical support
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to communicate with customers in Spanish, both verbal and written
  • Experience with remote data telemetry systems would be ideal
  • Knowledge or training in ISO9001 based quality management systems is an asset
