Job Summary: 

 The Position

We’re looking for a talented Product Manager to join our team. This exciting role has the capacity to directly impact the design and the ultimate success of our current and future product suite. In this position, you’ll be engaged in all aspects of the product lifecycle. You’ll be involved in gathering, communicating and documenting customer needs by working closely with customers and other product managers. This is a highly collaborative role where you’ll work closely with our product development, sales, marketing, services and business partner teams. We’ll also need you to become an expert in our technology and products, so you better be technically savvy.

We’re looking for someone that gets excited about bridging the worlds of business and technology. Someone who is pragmatic and put users first, efficiently balancing both day-to-day operations and long-term strategic thinking. Someone with strong communication and presentation skills that can professionally represent us at customer sites and user conferences (some travel is required in this role). This is a great opportunity for someone that thrives in a dynamic environment with an overwhelming drive to succeed. A technical background is essential. A background in GIS is ideal but not required.


  • Quickly thrive on becoming a product expert and evangelist
  • Manage aspects of the product life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities
  • Translate high level feature sets into clear product requirements for development scoping
  • Interface with development leads to ensure product requirements are properly understood
  • Coordinate product releases with the development, marketing, sales, professional services, and business partner teams
  • Act as subject matter expert for appropriate product related enquiries
  • Incorporate product feedback to influence product development
  • Present and demonstrate product capabilities to prospective and current customers


  • A minimum of two years of experience in a technical Product Management role
  • Experience gathering product requirements and driving consensus among key stakeholders
  • A technical background in software is essential
  • Demonstrated success in developing, defining or launching technology products
  • Training or experience with agile development, user stories, and goal-driven design
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills. Presentation experience to both C-suite executives and IT customers
  • Excellent listening and synthesis skills
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to balance multiple priorities in a dynamic work environment
  • Ability to thrive working independently and as part of a collaborative team environment
  • Strong commitment to personal excellence, self-motivated and resourceful
  • Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science, GIS, geography, or equivalent experience, is desirable
  • Knowledge of GIS, geomatics, and internet mapping is desirable
  • This position requires occasional travel (15%)
