Job Summary: 

Sales Manager - North American Major Accounts

We need a Sales Manager for our North American Major Accounts to help us grow and stay in close communication with our customers. 

The Role The North American Major Accounts Manager will be responsible for engaging with our 400+ customers in North America in the market sectors of: Heart Valve development, Heart Repair Device development and Heart Research within Academia. This role is responsible for:

1. Revenue generation and growth from the above customers,

2. Maintaining and building customers relationships in these sectors

3. Identifying opportunities for ViVitro to add value to support our customers

4. Keeping customers abreast of product and service developments at ViVitro to ensure we meet their needs

5. The ability to engage technically with customers, to ensure they understand our product and service capabilities and, that we understand their application and how they desire to use our products.

6. Provide feedback to the ViVitro team on customer product and service needs as well as current trends in cardiovascular device development, so we can anticipate market opportunities

7. Travel throughout the region including tradeshows will be ~25% of the time.

8. The role is ideally located in Victoria BC. A strategically located home-based office may be considered.

The incumbent will be an integral part of the ViVitro team participating in activities that lead to the overall success of the corporate objectives. The Sales Manager reports to the General Manager of ViVitro Labs

Key Responsibilities:

The North American Major Accounts Manager responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

1) Revenue Achievement

  • Achieving the agreed to revenue objective each fiscal.
  • Increasing sales revenue and the number of customers engaged
  • Maintaining an appropriate sales funnel in conjunction with CRM to ensure adequate focus and visibility to the sales forecast, including call summaries and keeping status of opportunities current.
  • Engaging in up-selling and cross-selling activities within ViVitro’s growing product and service catalog.

2) Customer Relationships

  • The North American Major Accounts Manager role is first and foremost the face of the company to customers and has overall responsibility for all customer relations.
  • Maintaining regular contact with all existing and potential customers to ensure customers are aware of our complete range of products and services and that we are exceeding their expectations for customer experience with all departments of ViVitro.
  • Assessing necessary requirements and communicating client requirements to ViVitro engineering staff.
  • Determining technical feasibility of prospective projects along with various members of the ViVitro team.
  • Using technical background in client and prospective client communications to credibly prove that ViVitro can address their requirements. Developing strategic relationships with customers, potential customers, and potential partners.

3) Management

  • Providing timely and sufficient information to the organization to enable it to develop plans and strategies to grow the business in a logical and profitable manner. Such information will minimize the risk to the organization while seeking to leverage its existing competences and market advantages.
  • Developing ViVitro profile and visibility through networking.
  • Representing the company at business-related events of strategic importance.
  • Maintaining current and ongoing knowledge of competitive markets in the cardiovascular device testing market segments.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years’ experience in sales and/or business development, with professional customer interaction.
  • In-depth knowledge of the cardiovascular device industry. Ideally existing relationships with customers in our 3 market sectors.
  • Strong technical background
  • Sales Personality
  • Self-motivated with dedicated client services focus and strong desire to succeed.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with all staff members, customers and the industry.
    • Positive attitude and a reliable team member.
    • Ability to travel throughout the region including tradeshows up to 25%
