The Information Technology Branch (ITB) provides the IT services to the BC Pension Corporation including; IT Operations, Application Development & Maintenance, Quality and Release Management and Service Management.  Services are delivered from a team of 74 dedicated contributors who provide ongoing support and transformational services to facilitate the execution of the 12/21 corporate strategy.  This is an excellent opportunity for those interested in working with a team of professionals who enjoy a challenging and rewarding environment.

Reporting to the Solutions Engineers within the Service Management unit, the Senior Data Architect provides expert data analysis, data design, data modeling and data quality services. This role develops data architecture, data standards and data policies to ensure integrity for the data resource and leadership in managing information as a valuable, sustainable asset.

Our ideal candidate brings:

  • A university degree in Information Technology, Computing Science or similar field AND four years related experience; OR
  • A diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science or similar field AND five years related experience; OR
  • A certificate, program completion, or some course work AND six years related experience; OR
  • An equivalent combination of related education, training AND seven years related experience.
  • A minimum of four years recent practical experience that includes:
    • providing expert data analysis, data design, data modeling and data quality services
    • developing data architecture, data standards and data policies to ensure integrity for the data resource
    • leadership in managing information as a valuable, sustainable asset.
